The Prayer of Politricksters

Gods’ dilemmas by Njonjo wa Kahato

My God, I seek bread for my children today
May you by your guidance lead me into plenty

May the purse I snatch be filled with dollars, pounds, yens and Yuans
May he or she who owns this my answered prayer not notice
May those who’re used by the devil to notice not raise the alarm
God protect me from the evil mob baying for my blood
May you give flight to my feet that I can outrun any mob, bullet or machete
Since I trust in you, bless the work of my hands
You’ve promised to expand my tents, may I not lack fields to plunder
Like the Israelites, may the wealth of the gentiles be mine
Put to sleep the awake and may I glory in you victory
May my house never lack the smell of onions nor my children yawn in hunger
May I live long in the land that you give me
And speak of the multitude of your graces among the nations
You alone are my hope and protection…
Amen🧎🏿‍♂️
